ONE Media is looking for a Technology Project Manager. ONE Media, a wholly owned subsidiary of U.S.’s largest broadcaster Sinclair Broadcast Group (NASDAQ: SBGI) is responsible for building out a nationwide wireless broadband broadcast network. The nationwide network is based on the new ATSC 3.0 standard adopted by Korea and the U.S. ONE Media is looking for development and deployment experts to lead our national ATSC 3.0 Broadcast Broadband rollout.
What you will do:
This Project Manager directs, administers, and manages new and continuing projects. In this role, you will collaborate with the customers, vendors, stakeholders, and project teams on large projects to complete project deliverables in accordance with their project plan. The primary directive of this role is to drive the entire effort from start to finish, managing the execution of projects within the constraints of budget, schedule and scope while minimizing risk and ensuring adherence to established processes and methodologies.
•Manage all aspects of the various projects needed to get One Media’s Next Generation platforms off the ground
•Prepare the overall delivery schedule and timeline
•Escalate issues internally and externally to meet deliverables
•Manage project budget and report status
•Participate in requirements elicitation
•Analyze architecture, as well as create and review design
•Contribute to activities related to estimation, staffing analysis, and risk planning
•Work with project owners every day to ensure scope is defined, documented, and maintained
•Drive complex projects and programs to achieve targeted and measured business goals and key objectives
•A minimum of 5 years’ experience in project management in a complex environment, preferably telecom
•A bachelor’s degree or related experience in the telecommunications field
•Demonstrated recent and verifiable success with large and complex telecommunications projects
•Proficient with Visio
•Proven experience managing in-house and off-site resources
•Negotiation and conflict resolution skills, as well as strong analytical and problem solving skills
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Proficiency utilizing project management tools
While deep telecom expertise is not required, the ideal candidate will, at a minimum, have multiple years of experience working in the telecom field or environment. The ideal candidate will also have advanced knowledge of project management methodologies and basic knowledge of program management and be able to identify the current state of a project, and implement the necessary tools and techniques to bring the project to a successful conclusion. PMP Certification will be considered a plus, but is not a strict requirement.
